The complete indexDemetrios Deligiannis learned tailoring in Greece before bringing his trade to Lincoln. He has been at the Wells Fargo Building for over forty-five years — same floor, same chair, same demanding standards. His wife Stami runs the atelier and remembers the names of every bride who has come through the door.
The shop has never advertised. The work has carried the word. A grandfather's suit, taken in by a quarter inch through the back. A wedding gown brought across three states by the third generation of a family. The kind of work that asks you to slow down — and rewards you for it.
A wedding gown rarely arrives ready. Bustles to set. Hems to even. Bodices to take in across two months of preparation. We see brides at three months out, again at six weeks, and finally a fortnight before the day. The bridal party is welcome.
We see clients by appointment. Telephone the shop and ask for Demetrios or Stami; the consultation is free, and the elevator is to the right of the lobby.
